To Kill a Mockingbird Book Cover

The challenge of this assignment was to create a modern cover for a classic piece of literature. Upon research, I discovered one of my favorite childhood novels "To Kill A Mockingbird" was actually considered a Souther Gothic novel. Since this book is technically marketed towards younger viewers, every cover I saw was mild and not eery at all. I wanted to create a cover that was different than the others and brought out its actual genre.
